Its no secret that technology aids our lives in many ways. In the game of golf there is no difference, to pace off yardage from “sprinkler heads” or the like is not only inaccurate but also hugely time wasting – in steps technology in the form of a device similar in size and shape to a mobile phone – with touch screen technology and some 23000 golf courses preloaded. The Sonocaddie V500 gives immediate yardage not only to the Front, Centre and back of green, but to any point on the course through the revolutionary “touchpoint positioning”. “The launch of the Sonocaddie V500 in South Africa and Australia was actually held back” – says Wayne de Jager (director of iPLAY GPS). De Jager goes on to say “The Sonocaddie V500 has 2 additional features namely a satellite view of the hole aswell as video flyover. We have been unable to purchase the said imagery in South Africa and Australia due to the lack of any company being able to offer such too us –we had therefore decided to delay the launch. Pressure from our National distributors and Golfers alike have pushed us into launching the unit without these 2 features currently available. The device would however be able to accommodate these 2 features immediately once they become live – its just a question of time.
